PTW’s BIM Manager, Tim Waldock presented a session at the inaugural European Revit Technology Conference held in Delft, Holland in September 2013
After presenting at many previous Revit Technology Conferences in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada, Tim Waldock was invited to be one of the speakers to represent PTW at the inaugural conference in Europe. This conference was attended by Revit and BIM enthusiasts from around Europe, but notably from Scandinavia, UK, Germany and of course the locals from the Netherlands. Speakers were very international, including the USA, Europe and Australia. The event was held in a mixture of old and new buildings, including a church complete with pulpit, linked to a high-tech glazed enclosed courtyard exhibition space. Tim’s presentation entitled “Fractal Fun with Revit Repeaters and Adaptive Components” was actually demonstrating the advanced use of new features in Revit to create patterns with patterns. As an example of what can be done with repetitive elements, he showed how it is possible to build a Revit model in 30 minutes of the roof of Santiago Calatrava’s Gare do Oriente Railway Station in Lisbon.
